TIO Publishing is proud to announce its second major publication for 2026: “DEPENDÉNSIA BA PETROLEU: BENSAUN KA MALISAN?” by Timorese analyst Guteriano Neves.
Blending personal insights with comprehensive data, this book explores how reliance on a single resource—oil—has shaped Timor-Leste’s economic and political landscape over the past two decades. Crucially, it offers realistic public policy perspectives to help society reflect on and reshape the nation’s future development trajectory.
The memorable event featured an engaging live discussion with author Guteriano Neves, skillfully moderated by Dr. Ana Kai-Soce de Araújo.
Special thanks to Galeria Memória Viva for hosting the launch, to our dedicated volunteers for their support, and to all the academics, professors, and avid readers who joined the conversation to share ideas on Timor-Leste’s future.
